Astonished? Or in Awe?

Although astonished is the word that I am going to use today, as a result of the daily prompt, I think the best word to use in this case, is ‘in awe’.

I am a Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM) Facilitator. I am quite new and don’t see clients every day or every week, but I see some clients on a regular basis. Every time when a client is due for his/her appointment, I am a bit nervous. Then I have questions in my mind, like, would I be capable of doing it? Every time I go to the Lord and He calms my heart and assure me that it will be all right.

With every client I see, I am astonished, in awe about what God does in the lives of those people. It is amazing to see how God brings healing to a person, and what is really wonderful, is that God brings the healing differently for every person. He knows us so well and He knows which way would be best to bring truth to each of us.

Every time, after a TPM session, I want to rejoice, because I could have the privilege to see the real transformation that happens in the heart of that person.

God shows the person that felt neglected for her whole life, that she has purpose. The man who had anger in his heart towards a person, became free after many years of carrying the heavy load of unforgiveness and walked away with so much energy, not having to carry this load any more. The lady that always felt the odd one out in her family, learned from God that she is loved so much. The Toortsie that felt for 50 years that she was not good enough, learned that she is good enough, that God wants her the way she is.

Each time God has a new surprise. Each time I am astonished. In awe, because our God is an Awesome God. He really is!

I want to encourage you to take your pain, the pain that you carry for all your life, the pain that you hide, the pain that drags you down, have the courage and make work of it. Confront it. Look it in the eye. Yes, it really is painful, but the relief is so much better.

Best wishes

Typically Toortsie

With today’s Daily Prompt in mind, I thought to write about the subject: Typical Toortsie. Which things are typical of Toortsie?

Google’s description of typical, is as follows: ‘showing the characteristics expected of or popularly associated with a particular person or thing’

So, what is typical of Toortsie? What happens when she wakes up in the morning?

She always wants to stay a bit longer in bed and would think of many things she can do while still lying in bed.

Toortsie immediately takes her cell phone and look at her blog to see if someone commented on something, or replied to a comment she made on some other blog. Then she watches Facebook for some things there that need her attention and comment on a few posts. She checks her emails and then she checks her WordPress reader for interesting new blog posts. Toortsie loves her blog, she absolutely loves her blogging friends and she loves reading other people’s blogs about a variety of subjects.

She then thinks about what she can eat, remember, she loves eating! Many mornings, she will fetch a bowl of double cream yogurt and berries and jump back into the bed!

Then her day gets busy with 102 different things, just like a butterfly, busy with more than 100 flowers a day. At the end of the day, she may be frustrated that she was busy all day and can show nothing that was completed!

Typically Toortsie!

Tour guide – Southern most tip of Africa.

Daily post: Tour guide. Challenge: What do you love about where you live? Tell us.

I live near the southern most tip of Africa, and that alone is already enough reason to visit Cape Agulhas. Cape Agulhas is the place where the two oceans meet: The Atlantic Ocean in the west and the Indian Ocean in the east.

If you look behind us, you would see the southern most tip of Africa, and the ocean, and if you look much further, perhaps you may see Antarktica. Only perhaps, you know!

Waenhuiskrans is also one of our seaside towns. The small town got his name because of a cave that looks like a barn and is big enough to house a wagon.

The shipreck museum in Bredasdorp is also a place that’s worth a visit. Because of our very dangerous coast line, many ships stranded on our coast.

I have so much more to tell, but I think it’s best to come and visit the Overberg, a very special region in South Africa.

Ons skadukant – Our Shadow side

I love to read Dr Perry’s blog. It is always very interesting and I always learn something. Please do read his blog post, Do you know your Shadow Side?

All of us has a shadow side, a part of us that we hide in a very dark place. A part of us that we don’t want to visit. The place where we hide our pain as well, things we want to forget.

Mooi loop

Beloved

Daily post. The challenge is, share a picture of your beloved things.

In this picture you may see four beloved things.

Firstly, my beloved husband to whom I’m already married for 32 years.

The little boy next to him is our beloved grandson. We see them not very often, but when we do, we have a wonderful time with the children. We do everything to make the time with them very special, something that we remember and, we believe, they will remember.

Then there is our beloved dog. She is with us for more than nine years now. She taught me how to love a Rhodesian Ridgeback and nowadays she teaches our young dog all the things a good dog must know.

The fourth item is our beloved beach at Struisbaai. Since I was eight years old, we went there for our holidays. Struisbaai has the longest beach in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the nicest things to do there, is to go for a long walk on the beach. One New Years Eve, many years ago, my boyfriend asked me to marry him and put a ring on my left hand on that very same beach. ❤ It is the same person that is on this picture of my beloved things. 😁

So, now it is your turn. What is your beloved things?
