I write this in English because I refer to Becha didn’t know‘s post: Beneficial Meditation Tip: Use Earthing/ Grounding to Reduse Stress!
Accidentally, today is barefoot day! According to Amos Agrimin‘s Prayer Focus on Labour Relations, 10 October is Barefoot Day. The idea is that we walk barefoot, in remembrance that we walk on holy ground, that is God’s ground, and that we must always live and work in His presence.
I love it to walk barefoot. I always loved it. I feel free when I walk barefoot. Since I live in town, it changed. When I lived on the farm, it was natural to walk barefoot. In town you have to be neat and decent! 🙂
Walking barefoot is the natural thing to do. We were born with bare feet! I am sure that the first people on earth didn’t have shoes, they walked barefoot! Dave Pepler says that, by walking barefoot, we are kept earthed. We stay connected with the earth and that is crucial, because we are part of the earth, we were not put accidentally on it!
Becha didn’t know lists these benefits of walking barefoot:
The Benefits of Earthing & Grounding
According to emerging research, earthing may be beneficial in:
- Reducing inflammation
- Reducing chronic pain
- Improve sleep
- Increasing Energy
- Lowering stress and promoting calmness by reducing stress hormones.
- Normalizing biological rhythms including circadian rhythm
- Normalizing blood pressure and blood flow
- Relieving muscle tension and headache
- Speeds healing- used in some places to prevent bed sores
- Reducing jet lag
- Shortening recovery time from injury or athletic activity
- Reducing snoring
She also writes: It’s important to get that skin to skin contact with mother earth. It’s very soothing, beneficial, and relaxing to do! Allow your skin to touch soil, sand, water, or any conductive surface that is in contact with the earth. Dig your bare feet in, or lie down.
I can’t say it better! I can’t approve more. Over years I wrote a few posts about this subject:
- Blomme van geluk
- In ‘n glaskas. One day I felt as if I was living in a glass chest, then I got the answer!
- Kaalvoet.
I love walking barefoot and today I am going to do it, even in town and if I have to go to the shops today, it is going to be with bare feet! Because, 10 October is Barefoot Day and the winter is over! Summer is here! Today I am going to remember that I walk on holy ground and that God is always present. This will be my testimony: God is always present, here, now and always.
Last thought: I believe in a loving God who always wants the best for us.
Have a nice day

Sonder ophou.

My seun is anderdag uit Woollies uitgejaag daaroor.
